A Structure for Climbing

At its core, this sculpture takes the form of a narrow ladder, fashioned entirely from metal. Yet, rather than rigid precision, it embodies a rawness and instability.
I often embrace raw industrial mediums, combining them with the imperfection of manual labor.
The horizontal pipes, deliberately left loose within their holders, defying conventional notions of functionality due to the fact they are not permanently attached. In this interplay of form and function, there exists
a harmony—a functional dysfunctionality that challenges the viewer’s perception.
It is this very sense of absurdity that lends the sculpture its charachter.
As one contemplates the structure, poised between ascent and descent,
the mind is drawn to the inherent contradictions within.
What appears as a utilitarian object is, in reality, a whimsical exploration of balance and instability—a reminder of fragility and the absurdity of existence.
