Fractures in Rotation.
Concrete, Hardware 115 x 20 x 5 cm
At the core of this sculpture lies a slender cylinder of concrete, its inherent fragility causing it to shatter into fragments.
Rather than succumbing to defeat, I embraced this rupture as an opportunity for reinvention.
I reassembled the fractured pieces in their original order, weaving them into a cohesive whole. Guided by an external skeleton of metal and pipe holders, I forged a new sculpture with the remnants of destruction. The axis, a threaded rod, serves
as the fulcrum of transformation, granting each fragment the freedom to pivot and realign. Through the act of reconstruction, it celebrates the resilience . This dynamic interplay between form and function imbues the work with a sense of fluidity and adaptability. As each piece finds its place within the ensemble, the spacing between fractures and their orientation become fluid variables
